This guide walks you through everything a school admin can do — from building AI-powered courses to assigning them to classrooms and teachers.

As school admin you have full control over content, classrooms, and staff.

Signing In as Admin

Admin accounts use the same login page as teachers. Your account type determines which dashboard you land on.

Creating a Course

Courses are the core content unit. You create and own the master; teachers receive their own editable copy when you assign it.

    Open Course Builder from the sidebarClick the book icon — you'll see all your existing courses.

    Click "+ New course"Fill in course name, description, subject, grade, curriculum board (e.g. CBSE, SCERT, TEKS), and language.

    Click "Create & open"The course opens in the builder where you can start adding content immediately.

Adding Units & Concepts

A course contains Units (chapters) and Concepts (individual topics). Each concept gets textbook content, video, quiz, and flashcards.

    Click "Upload chapter" to import from PDFAI detects page ranges, extracts concepts, and generates summaries and assets automatically.
  • 2
    Or use "Generate" / "From PDF" on a unitGenerate concept outlines with AI or import specific PDF pages into a unit manually.

Generating AI Content

The Studio tab lets you chat with AI to draft summaries and transcripts. The Assets tab manages videos, quizzes, and flashcards.

Open a concept and go to the Studio tab. Type a prompt and AI drafts content you can add directly to the Textbook. It sees the source PDF automatically.

    Go to Assets tab → Videos, click "Generate Video"AI writes the animation script and builds the video (60–180 seconds).

    Wait 2–5 minutesStatus shows "Building animation…". Continue working on other concepts while it renders.

    Status shows "Ready"Preview the video, then add it to the Textbook as an inline block.

Switch to Textbook to see student-visible content. Edit any block, reorder, or add new ones.

Publishing a Course to the Catalog

Only published courses can be added to the school catalog and assigned to classrooms.

    Open the course in Course BuilderAt the top right, click Publish to Catalog.

    Button turns green — "Published to Catalog"The course is now available to assign via School Admin → Courses.

Publishing locks the structure. Units and concepts cannot be deleted after publishing. Create a new version to restructure.

Managing the School Catalog

Go to School Admin → Courses to add published courses to your catalog and assign them to classrooms.

    Select a published course from the dropdown, click "Add"The course appears in the catalog list with classroom chips.

Creating Classrooms

Go to School Admin → Classrooms to create sections and assign teachers.

    Click "+ New Classroom"Enter classroom name (e.g. "Class IX A"), grade, section label, and assign a teacher.

Assigning a Course to a Classroom

Assigning creates a personal editable copy for the classroom's teacher automatically.

    Go to School Admin → Courses, find the courseClick a "+ Class" chip to assign it to that classroom.

    Chip turns purple with a padlockAssignment confirmed. The teacher now sees the course in their Course Builder as a draft.

Assignments are permanent. Once assigned, the course cannot be unassigned. Plan carefully.

Managing Teachers

Go to School Admin → Teachers to create teacher accounts.

    Click "Create Login"Enter full name and email. Leave password blank to auto-generate.

    Click "Create Account"Teacher appears in Active Teachers list. Share credentials — they can log in immediately.

Managing Students

Go to School Admin → Students to add students and assign them to classrooms.

    Click "+ Add"Enter full name and roll number. Email is auto-generated if blank. Default password = roll number.

    Select a classroom and click "Add Student"Or use Bulk Import for many students at once.
